WESTCLOX BIG BEN CLOCK
For the year 2000, General Time wanted to redesign the iconic Westclox Big Ben clock. We took inspiration form the clock's great tradition and explored designs that would connect it to the new century.
Past Big Ben designs inspired forms and details of the new designs which sought to bridge the past to the future. The new designs explored more fluid and integrated forms and contemporary materials and graphics.
Photoshop renderings were made to explore colors, materials, finishes and face graphics.
3D printed models were made to explore and refine the forms. Early surfboard foam models allowed the designers and client to review and evaluate the designs in 3D physical form.
