A product vision and opportunity roadmap for a Biotech startup.

A biotech startup with a new technology that could very quickly detect pathogens from a very small sample wanted help to explore opportunities for their technology and to envision what those products might look like.

The design process started with field research at labs and expert interviews. The research revealed potential potential applications and a quick market analysis helped business designers create a product roadmap. Industrial designers then explored potential product systems that addressed the needs of the different applications. The product visions were accompanied by usage scenarios to explain how the products would work in the different markets.
